The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Materials Management and Transportation (Level L) to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience in Production Control and Material Management processes
  • More than 5 years of Warehousing operation experience
  • 3+ year of experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing
  • More than 3 years of experience in a leadership role or team lead
  • 3+ year of functional experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience using Microsoft Project
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP System
  • Experience leading cross-functional or cross business unit teams
  • Experience in warehousing including receiving, grief and inventory management

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
