Master Electrician (Expert) Jobs

We are seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as a sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services and virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. This is a fast paced, challenging, and rewarding experience in which you are able to provide solutions on one of the most complex and high-profile programs within this community.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions, and test hardware conformance to specifications.
• Analyze, diagnose and resolve issues with information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.
• May require on call availability for emergency repairs
• Design new and/or modify existing products, develop technical specifications for production

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The qualified candidate will have 11+ years' experience and a bachelor's degree. Qualified applicant be an observant and dependable journeyman electrician with demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and critical thinking with experience in all facets of the electrical work. The journeyman electrician will be responsible for a variety of electrical tasking associated with maintaining 24x7x365 operations of a mission critical enterprise-computing center and will serve as the secondary focal point for all electrical activities with service providers and vendors.
Other responsibilities may include:

• Choosing the most apt course of action in light of project constraints
• Logging time and resources spent on each task to calculate costs
• Provide management of day-to-day electrical operations of several enterprise data centers
• Communicating with clients and performing one’s own inspections to diagnose and tend to each task. Should be comfortable performing these and related undertaking with minimal supervision
• Selecting, installing, and preserving the functionality of wires, plugs, panel boards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and the capacity to follow tasking/instruction from Senior electrician
• Performing inspections, conducting assessments, and liaising with Sr. Electrician to ascertain the issues that warrant attention
• Monitoring inventory to ensure adequate stock
• Providing professional, friendly, and prompt services
• Critical thinker with experience in all facets of electrical work
• Carrying standard equipment and parts with you at all times and commuting between the locations at which you will work
• Setting up and maintaining electrical devices, ie, iPDUs, PDMs, power transfer switches
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Cloud architectures and services
• Continuous integration, test automation and / or SecDevOps on iterative development projects
• Integration of MS Office and MS Office 365
• Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains
• Developing integration interface across JAVA, .NET, C++ and similar platforms.
• Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136620 - $232210

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
