ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Pickle Master/MC, you will be responsible for creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for guests at Home Quart. You will act as the host and spokesperson, entertaining guests, making announcements, playing music, organizing games and ensuring a smooth flow of events. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in connecting with guests, building rapport, and enhancing their overall dining experience. The MC plays a crucial role in creating a memorable and enjoyable atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more. Working in collaboration with restaurant management in creating exciting, innovative, and memorable experiences for all guests. You’ll act as an advocate for Home Quart, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will at times control the music and knowledge of basic mixers and music equipment will be necessary. Djing skills are a major bonus
• Monitor the cleanliness of all areas of the property
• Guest Interaction: Interact with guests throughout their experience at Home Quart, making them feel welcomed, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or special requests
• Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your MC skills, stay updated on location offerings, and maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, services, and events
• Group Play: Prepare and execute fun and interactive group games that encourage the creation of new relationships and strengthening of old ones. Everyone plays together
• Upselling and Promotions: Promote location offerings, specials, and promotions in an enthusiastic and persuasive manner, encouraging guests to explore additional menu items or experiences
• Work with Management to provide excellent quality and presentation of all services to guests. Participate in the evaluation of food product, employee performance, and development of product consistent with our market position
• Hosting, Entertaining and Comedic Joy: Act as the charismatic and energetic host, engaging with guests, welcoming them, and setting a positive tone for their dining experience. You must have an infectious personality, tell jokes, encourage participation and play effortless and be able to rally a crowd with your personality
• Coordinate facility cleanliness with Management
• Coordinate service area maintenance when necessary
• Conflict Resolution: Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy, striving to find quick and satisfactory resolutions
• Table Visits: Visit tables and engage in conversations with guests, providing recommendations on food and beverage choices, and creating a friendly and personalized experience
• Event Coordination: Collaborate with management and staff to plan and execute special events, such as live pickleball matches, music nights, themed parties, or holiday celebrations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests
• Selling and promoting drinks and beverages are essential
• Customer Feedback: Act as a feedback channel for guests, actively listening to their suggestions, comments, and concerns, and communicating them to the management team for continuous improvement
• Announcements and Introductions: Make announcements to introduce special events, promotions, or performances taking place at the location capturing the attention and interest of the audience
• Engaging Performances: Coordinate and introduce live performers, musicians, or entertainers, highlighting their talents and engaging the audience

The hourly wage for this role is $15.00 an hour plus tips

Requirements

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WE’RE SEEKING:

• Public speaking: 2 years (Preferred)
• Passion for creating and personalizing guest experiences
• Master of Ceremonies: 2 years (Preferred)
• Experience or designer to learn basic bar and drink service.
• Music DJ: 2 years (Preferred)
• You must be at a 3.5 level or above in pickleball
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and/or court scheduling software
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Video DJ: 2 years (Preferred)
• Ability to learn, retain, and present product information to guests
• Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to take initiative
