Job Description

*HYBRID ROLE 3 DAYS ONSITE, 2 DAYS REMOTE - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY*


The Marketing Specialist reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager and will provide executional support of Pet Supermarket campaigns and the monthly marketing calendar; including in-store and online retail promotions, store events / sponsorships and seasonal campaigns to drive engagement and sales. The Marketing Specialist will play an integral role coordinating within the marketing department and will also work cross-functionally with the Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, IT, and Legal departments.


Essential Duties:

  • Ability to multi-task several projects / initiatives at once with a highly organized, detail oriented and deadline driven approach.
  • Maintain monthly marketing budget to ensure invoicing and billing is properly entered and processed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the roll out of in-store events including seasonal engagement campaigns, on-site customer workshops and cause-marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across the multiple functions within the marketing department to prioritize and execute key marketing initiatives, including but not limited to PSI Loyalty Campaigns, New Store Openings, Digital & Social Marketing, Email Campaign Management, Graphic Design, Sponsorships and Promotions.
  • Create detailed schedules and set deadlines using Monday.com and internal project documents.
  • Support the execution of in-store and online promotions, key branded vendor initiatives, flash sales, etc.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the omni-channel retail marketing landscape.
  • Ability to analyze market data and provide fact-based recommendations.
  • Manage external marketing vendors / agencies to coordinate campaign development, asset management and production lead times.


Experience & Education:

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with creative/graphic departments.
  • 3+ years in a marketing specialist / coordinator role in either retail or manufacturing based industry OR management experience in a physical or online retail environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Flexible to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week in-person at the corporate office.

Competencies

  • Strong understanding and usage of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; multi-tasking is critical.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and web analysis tools.
