The Opportunity

The Travel Retail Americas Niche Marketing Manager will develop the Strategy for the roll-out of PUIG’s Niche portfolio of brands in TR Americas, based on consumer insights and market needs. The Niche Marketing Manager will set and implement Business and Marketing Plans for the brands to accomplish objectives in terms of image, market share, net revenues and profitability.  

This is a new role within the TRA Marketing Team, and will require an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong collaborative spirit, and a hands-on approach.  The focus will be on PUIG’s TRA Niche Brands Penhaligon’s, Byredo, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Christian Louboutin and Dries van Noten. 
 

What you´ll get to do

 

Define & implement Travel Retail Americas Marketing Strategy for the assigned Brands:

  • Define Niche roadmap, identifying key opportunities in the region together with Marketing & Retail Director and Commercial teams.
  • Identify growth opportunities, needs in terms of product development, digital, innovation, Retail experience, and communicate these to Global Brand teams to secure region relevant strategies.
  • Define priorities by Brand’s universe and geographical market.
  • Prepare new door openings from door validation with Global Brand teams, to design conception together with in-store teams, assortment definition, pricing, Retail experience, training coordination with Sell-through & Education team, Opening event and installation.

Create clear KPI’s tracking tools, analyze and propose actions:

  • Identify gaps and areas of opportunity unique to TRA, and propose ways to conquer these points.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the competition, identifying strong initiatives across the region (that are both global and local executions).
  • Become an expert in the Niche market – sharing insights on existing and emerging brands, creative local initiatives, best practices etc.
  • Develop with Global Travel retail customer research studies to understand brand’s perception, retail experience and adapt to create the most memorable experience.
  • Develop together with Marketing & Retail Director and Niche Global Travel Retail Manager clear tracking tools to measure performance of our doors and in comparison with other regions.
  • Liaise with Commercial and Field teams to gather feedback on stores performance and propose actions to boost sales.

Monitor budget, forecast and sales:

  • Drive forecasting process (CPS), aligned with demand planning, brand priorities and growth objectives.
  • Monitor together with Demand Planning forecast and stock availability.
  • Manage brands budget in line with financial objectives.

Define a unique Retail experience:

  • Work hand-in-hand with Marketing & Retail Director, Global and TRA Sell-through & Education team to create a unique retail experience from a TR centric selling ceremony, to BA’s training and Customer experience at the POS.

Profile description:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or equivalent
  • Innovation-driven

  • Strong marketing acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong interest in travel retail industry, retail trends, innovation and digital passion about the fragrance/beauty and luxury industry
  • Effectively skilled in Microsoft Office
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience; working experience in Niche brands is highly desirable
  • Good inter-personal skills and team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication effectiveness, integrity and trust, managing diversity and multiple stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Spanish
