Position Purpose

Responsible for overseeing all distribution goals, sales goals, and supplier business plans in all channels for all products distributed by High Country Beverage (HCB) and Crown Distributing (CDK). Responsible for overseeing the execution of our Space Planning goals for all locations. Responsible for overseeing the Chain Division team and their execution in all locations.

Oversee the brand management, sales, distribution, revenue, and profitability of all HCB brands. Act as liaison and advocate for HCB and all HCB suppliers. This position designs, implements, manages, and tracks all supplier related sales, marketing, pricing, and investment activities.


Essential Functions:

  • Remain compliant with drug, alcohol, and motor vehicle policies
  • Attendance
  • Ability to safely lift 160 lbs without accommodations
  • Maintain work productivity over differing conditions including but not limited to temperature and order quantity
  • Safely maneuver cases and kegs
  • Adhere to all state and company policies and procedures


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Product supply team, as needed, to forecast sales.
  • Ensure that all assigned HCB/CDK products are represented at retail in line with the Supplier’s Retail Standards.
  • Develop and oversee Business Plans for all Suppliers and ensure that we achieve our total company plan as well as supplier plans annually.
  • Oversee POS orders with the brand team to meet brand and market needs for retail and events while following HCB/CDK POS budget plan. Monitor POS use at retail to ensure assigned Supplier and HCB/CDK budgets are used to maximum effectiveness.
  • Proactively work with Supplier representatives to design, implement, track, and evaluate incentives/MBOs.
  • Oversee the direction and goals for our Suppliers products in concert with HCB brand/package objectives.
  • Assist the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, General Sales Managers, Division and Area Sales Managers, and Salespeople in achieving brand goals and objectives for all locations.
  • Oversee the development of new product launch plans; assist the Product Supply team and Marketing team to forecast new products volume.
  • Identify and prioritize retail opportunities based on account potential by channel and consumer demographics for our suppliers and brands.
  • Monitor and oversee the execution of our Chain Division Management team, ensuring that we are exceeding our goals in this channel for sales, distribution, and execution.
  • Oversee the management of all supplier budgets and P&Ls for both divisions.
  • Analyze and evaluate sales data, distribution, and retail execution data and communicate the results to the appropriate company personnel and/or Supplier representatives.
  • Manage supplier work with calendars and supplier recaps with our teams. Ensure we provide essential feedback to suppliers with our follow up.
  • Develop marketing plans for retail activation to include media and special events for Supplier’s products in concert with the HCB/CDK/Supplier Business plans and budgets. Negotiate sponsorship terms and work with Special Event representatives on behalf of assigned Suppliers and HCB/CDK to achieve marketing and sampling goals.
  • Develop pricing strategy and communicate as needed to VP of Shared Services and Pricing Manager for HCB/CDK locations.
  • Understands and complies with all local, state and federal regulations along with all HCB policies and procedures.
  • Completes monthly reports, vehicle mileage reports and special assignments at the request of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Submits all required reports neat and on time.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies, practices, procedures, and controls, applicable to his/her primary function.
  • Monitor shelf schematics to follow Supplier Standards and helps sell in and implement shelf re-sets designed to improve HCB product space allocation and positioning for HCB/CDK brands.


Supervision

The Marketing Division Manager directly supervises the Core Marketing Manager, the Specialty Division Brand Manager, the Chain Division Manager, and the Space Planning Lead. This position oversees the Marketing execution in all locations.

Motivate, train, develop, discipline and direct assigned personnel. Evaluate their performance for the

purpose of maintaining necessary recommendations on job assignments.


Leadership

This position is considered a leader in the HCB organization. As such, the Marketing Manager will always maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Position will be asked to perform duties “above and beyond the normal” from time to time and expected to cheerfully perform such duties. Position expected to be a positive role model for other HCB employees.
