Position: Marketing & Design Specialist
Department: Marketing
Report to: Sr. Marketing Manager
Job Summary:
The Marketing & Design Specialist main areas of responsibility are menu management and guest feedback. This position assists with menu changes; reviewing menus for accuracy, organizing the changes with the correct names, descriptions, prices, and processing changes on the POS system, and updating the menus online.
The Marketing & Design Specialist monitors the company’s reputation on online review platforms. This role ensures all reviews are acknowledged, responded to, and resolved. This individual will be responsible for monitoring customer satisfaction in CRG through reports that measure the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The role ensures that the restaurant’s general information and promotions are correct on all online restaurant platforms (OpenTable, Yelp, Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, etc.).
This role may be asked to perform other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Essential Duties:
· Menu preparation – developing content, proofing, etc.
· Use Photoshop and InDesign to create menus, posters, operation manuals as needed.
· Read all online reviews daily. Respond to any negative reviews.
· Assign responsibility of negative reviews to each respective restaurant Managing Partner and maintain oversight to confirm that those reviews are addressed by the MP.
· Use our Relationship Management system to monitor reviews on OpenTable, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, and our survey reviews. Monitor reviews from other websites directly on their platforms.
· Update restaurant information, promos, and photos on online review sites.
· Review and support the seasonal menu launches, help gather information from operations (Ex: Selling points, Allergens, etc.).
· Coordinate and review all menus for accuracy before they are released, and support menu launches.
· Coordinate POS menu changes, provide IT details for Toast updates, and follow up on menu changes with operations.
· Work with Learning and Development Specialist to deliver all menu and/or marketing changes that will trigger updates to training manuals or any internal marketing materials.
Other duties:
· Act as Opentable contact coordinator between operations, marketing and the stores.
· Maintain Tripleseat and special menus.
· Act as liaison between Sales manager, home office and operations.
· Provide administrative support to the marketing department by preparing reports, handling information requests, updating menus, and performing clerical functions.
· Participate in marketing activities and policies to promote products and services.
Requirements
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge preferred.
- Strong communicator both written and verbal.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- ADA accessibility and compliance knowledge is a plus
- Understands menu engineering best practices & HTML experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or business administration or demonstratable knowledge and practical skills amassed through a successful career to this point.
- Must be able to coordinate multiple projects at a time.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work and thrive under tight deadlines.
- Digital Marketing: SEO, SEM, web analytics, metrics, online reputation.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn.
- Adobe InDesign knowledge required.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects in an organized manner.
