Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in communications, marketing/advertising, or journalism
Related Work Experience and Other Skills:
2 to 5 years working in marketing, public relations, or a similar field. Excellent writing skills for both internal and external audiences. Project management experience with an ability to organize multiple projects at once. Strong people skills for interacting with community leaders. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy. Highly experienced with Office applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. High level of comfort with social software and other web-based technologies. CRM experience a plus. Healthcare experience not required, but a plus.

Job Roles (job duties that will appear on performance appraisal. Recommend no more than 10 job duties.)
Duty 1: Writing for external print and digital marketing campaigns as directed by the Director of Brand Marketing or Vice President of Marketing and PR.
Duty 2: Project manage internal campaigns and initiatives. This may include, but is not limited to, writing for newsletters and print collateral.
Duty 3: Assist in building and overseeing paid marketing campaigns, including traditional, digital and social media.
Duty 4: Contribute to community relations initiatives at various hospital campuses, as needed.
Duty 5: Assist with reporting projects.
Duty 6: Builds and maintains key relationships within the hospitals and MHS to ensure a current, in-depth knowledge of services and key events.
Duty 7: Write content for Methodist Health System’s internal and external digital entities, including websites, newsletters, and social media
Other duties as assigned.
