Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic communications professional with strong digital and project management skills, who has a passion for writing and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Embedded within the Life Solutions business, you will be part of a multinational team responsible for promoting a multimillion dollar product portfolio. You will be responsible for supporting the execution of global marketing communications programs aligned with our digital roadmap and growth strategy across Solvay’s Life Solutions businesses.
This person will support strategic marketing communications initiatives that advance the positioning and business interests of Solvay’s Life Solutions businesses, which are key segments within the Materials global business unit. Solvay’s specialty polymers for Life Solutions segments play a vital role in our daily lives, supporting life-saving healthcare applications such as hemodialysis and life-sustaining applications in construction and water management. The Marketing Communications Specialist will mainly support the Healthcare and Construction markets, while working with other markets on an as-needed basis for special projects, such as regional events.
We count on you for:
  • Work with our internal experts and agency partners to ensure digital campaigns are configured correctly to support lead tracking
  • Oversee production of web copy and other forms of content (such as advertising for trade media, social media, landing pages, illustrations, infographics, motion graphics, videos) for our Solvay.com pages, campaigns and events
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects autonomously
  • Plan events, from the goal-setting phase through execution and ROI analysis
  • Work with our business teams to design, implement and measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns focused on our products and solutions by leveraging both offline and digital channels
  • Develop campaign performance reports. This person will work with our agency partners to translate information into insights, and insights into actionable optimizations in order to continuously improve our campaigns and overall effectiveness.
  • Monitor trends regarding new technologies and applications related to our markets
  • Support brand development projects, from ideation to implementation

The Marketing Communication Specialist will gain valuable knowledge across nearly all facets of the communication discipline, especially branding and events, digital/social media, content marketing and media relations. The specialist will also gain exposure to Solvay’s global communication team and senior communication leaders, affording access to key players responsible for emergent roles and professional opportunities.
You will bring:
  • Enthusiastic team player who thrives on collaboration with peers
  • Experience working with external vendors and agency partners is preferable
  • Has a vision for how to craft compelling content and adapt it to different mediums
  • Experience planning digital campaigns (especially LinkedIn, Google Ads) is strongly preferable
  • Experience planning events (physical, digital and hybrid) is preferred
  • Able to navigate a large, complex organization and influence the right decision makers to achieve desired outcomes; Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, including with senior executives
  • Native English speaker or equivalent (oral and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, communication or digital marketing
  • Basic data analysis skills - understands communication KPIs (e.g., impressions, CTR, on-page analytics) and business KPIs (e.g., leads generated, opportunities won)
  • Experience working with multiple actors on complex topics
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Curiosity to learn - must be eager to acquire a good understanding of digital communication and lead acquisition
  • At least 5 years of experience in communication, digital marketing or related fields, ideally within an international environment
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders with minimal supervision ; Proactive contributor capable of self-managing projects from ideation through execution

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16 or more weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
