Job Description
Inside the Role
Lead a team of engineers supporting manufacturing operations with an engineering focus on optimizing production processes to improve safety and ergonomics, efficiency, and first time quality. Ensure Production has the necessary tools and process needed to be successful in building trucks. Evaluate new product designs for impact on the manufacturing process; develop and implement necessary process changes.

Position offers a starting salary range of $110,500 - $141,500

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Provide expertise in project planning and implementation.
  • Apply practical problem solving techniques to resolve systemic failures in the process or with equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical expertise in integrating equipment, systems, materials, facilities, and processes into a cohesive, cost efficient, and productive manufacturing system while ensuring compliance with all cyber, government, and safety regulations.
  • Present business cases and justification for capital projects and manage their implementation.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities and future production requirements. Recommend process changes as well as capital investment plans and coordinate the implementation of these changes into production.
  • Review new or revised product offerings and identify production requirements. Suggest product design modifications where applicable. Make new /modification of existing equipment recommendations as part of the review process.
  • Resolve risk/issues with a sense of urgency.
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university with focus on Engineering or related field is required and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • 5 years Manufacturing or Plant Production experience
  • Project management experience
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Reporting Services
  • Proficiency with CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD or Solidworks
  • Six Sigma or other approaches to problem solving
