Manufacturing Engineering Intern Jobs

The Manufacturing Intern will play a pivotal role in setting up new manufacturing lines and ensuring accurate process documentation. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to integrate new furniture and equipment, optimize workflows, and document vital procedures for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide feedback and recommendations on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the design, layout, and implementation of new manufacturing lines.
• Document detailed manufacturing processes, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Work with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and production, to optimize process flows.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure smooth integration of new machinery and tools.
• Engage in root cause analysis for any line setup issues and contribute to resolutions.
• Assist in the validation of new manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with CAD software, e.g. SolidWorks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong academic performance and analytical skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Able to safely lift heavy objects, occasionally as much as 50 lbs., either alone or with assistance.
• Able to use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers to assembly basic parts per manufacturing instructions.
