Moline Forge is a 100-year old manufacturer of steel components for a wide variety of industries. As the company grows and improves, we need the technical skills of an engineer to move a wide variety of projects forward. This role offers the opportunity to learn all aspects of a manufacturing business while contributing to the growth and profitability on a daily basis.
The Manufacturing Engineer will have responsibilities across the organization, including product design, tool design, and manufacturing improvement projects. Knowledge will be gained by working closely with the maintenance and production team and digging into the details of the operation. Regular interaction with customers, sales, and upper management is also required, contributing as a key member of the operational team.
The ideal candidate will be motivated by learning in a hands-on environment, and will possess strong analytical and mechanical skills. Strong CAD skills, organizational skills, and ability to work well with a variety of people will be highly valued in this role. We can consider a variety of experience levels, from an engineer with a few years of experience to a seasoned engineer looking to contribute at a high level in a manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities
- Product design and CAD, working closely with customer engineering, while developing and applying detailed knowledge of forged products.
- Support of Quality, integrating CAD with measurement software systems for product validation.
- Implement capital projects focused on automation and improved product handling.
- Tool design, understanding the important aspects of forging design.
- Product costing, developing detailed cost estimates for new products.
- Process improvement, including analysis of current processes and implementation of ideas to reduce costs and increase throughput.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in drafting, product design, manufacturing process improvement, and mechanical equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 1 - 3 years' of experience as a an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
