We are looking for a talented Manufacturer Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Columbus, IN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Contributes by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Assists with the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
• Assists with the development of manufacturing standards and working methods by using continuous improvement tools.
• Contributes to the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while contributing to teams.
• Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.Learns the knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

Skills

• Controls Engineering Knowledge - Applies the application of controls hardware and software by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new or upgrades to existing equipment to interface with all levels of manufacturing systems.

• Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

• Industrial Engineering Knowledge - Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying a comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.

• Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• College, university, or equivalent degree required.

Experience

• AutoCAD experience, Basic understanding of Manufacturing Process, Data analysis, Problem solving techniques, Basic Geometric, Dimensioning & Tolerance knowledge.
• Basic level of relevant work experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
