Your new role

Are you looking for a role which allows you to operate autonomously and put in to action your own strategic business plan? This managing Director role could be for you. You will have the security and stability of working for a global manufacturer, but the benefits of working within a small organization in the USA which will allow you to be agile and grow the business into your own vision. The organization is in an enviable position to capitalize on the booming chemical industry and new markets. As part of the role of managing director here is a snapshot of the expected duties:

Management of the entire local operation with a particular emphasis on business development.

Introduction of pump product portfolio to local engineering contractor offices. OEM´s and end customers, via direct meetings, individual presentations and interactions at conferences and expos.

Building up sales and service partnerships to increase the company´s market share in the USA. Increasing market share with existing and new clients through business development.

Responsibility for complete business including people management, capital sales, spare parts, warehouse and field service.

Responsibility for local P&L including cost accounting, inventory management, invoicing, and statutory reporting.

What you´ll need to succeed

This Managing Director role requires you to hold a strong technical aptitude enabling you to engage with field support and excellent people skills allowing you to build strong relationships with you new and existing client base across all levels. To be successful as the Managing Director you will be able to show evidence of the following:

• Sales experience in selling technically sophisticated industrial equipment and ideally pumps.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
• Solid track record of business growth and organization development Self-driven with a high level of energy to drive and grow the business.
• Experience of managing a successful team through good people management and contractor management.
• Ability to work autonomously from the overseas main business center.
• Excellent communication skills enabling you to approach new and existing customers to identify their needs and provide a solution.
