About the Role

PerpetualGrid is seeking a talented leader with deep domain expertise in Energy & Sustainability to lead our Clean Energy and Decarbonization Investment and Advisory practice. This individual will report directly to our Partners and Managing Directors, which have an extensive background in Energy, Sustainability and Structured Finance. This is a unique opportunity to build a leading-edge sustainable energy investment and asset management firm and support strategic decarbonization and risk management for physical assets within our clients and our own portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you are expected to lead strategy development, project origination, investment structuring and decarbonization advisory services across a diverse portfolio of physical assets and enterprise clients.

Specifically, your role will include the following responsibilities:

·Lead the development and acquisition of renewable energy generation and storage assets

·Advise clients on PPA transactions and tax equity investments in sustainable energy assets

·Support the evaluation and implementation of distributed generation assets across our portfolio

·Build new business and capabilities that enable investments and client satisfaction

·Manage client engagements focused on sustainable energy and decarbonization

·Provide expertise on methods for GHG abatement, clean energy procurement and project finance

·Lead carbon accounting and reporting functions for Decennial assets and client assets

·Advise clients on SBTs, Net Zero goals, Carbon Neutrality, GHG accounting and ESG reporting

·Mentor junior colleagues in this area and serve as a thought leader

Qualifications:

·Degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, business, engineering or equivalent

·8+ years of relevant work experience in energy, renewables, energy efficiency, industrial process efficiency, hydrogen generation, project finance, engineering or equivalent

·Deep knowledge in energy transition, decarbonization, renewables, carbon offsets, and carbon accounting

·High integrity, trustworthiness and willingness to prioritize our clients and investors

·Entrepreneurial, business-building mindset with strong relationship building mentality

·Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decision-making

·Excellence in communication, both verbal and written

·Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills

·Experience leading and working collaboratively on teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems

·Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, to support investment activities and client engagements
