The Manager, Attendance and Time leads the WDW Labor Attendance and Time Team operational efforts. This role serves as the strategic business partner for Compensation, HRIS, HR, Legal, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, GHRO, and Benefits. This role also partners heavily with Disneyland Resort and Corporate counterparts to ensure alignment where policy permits and sharing of best practices and learnings. This role ensures the team has compliance controls top of mind through leading efforts with various Technology and HR teams to design and develop solutions through policy, process, audits, and tools to enable accurate time and attendance recording.
- Understand impacts of changes (strategy/requests) and escalates for integration and transparency
- Lead strategic projects for business transformation, process improvement, policy change, improved user experience, and reduced cost and risk, while incorporating best practices and a compliance lens to all time, pay, attendance efforts
- Drive efficiencies through continuous review and improvement of existing processes, including leading new system implementation projects
- Lead the strategic focus long term of accurate time and attendance for policy and Time and Attendance Cast development to an ever evolving skillset required to enable compliance and accuracy of time and attendance record keeping
- Lead a team of 5 salaried leaders, mentoring 30 professional hourly Cast, and leading the day to day operational aspects to enable an accurate time and attendance each week for over 60K Walt Disney World Cast
- Work with professionals and partners across The Walt Disney Company – including Compensation, Global HR Operations, Leave Administration, Labor Relations, Human Resources Information Systems, Legal, Labor Systems, Benefits, and Payroll – to make sure that all time and attendance rules are being scrupulously followed
- Be the key contact for time, pay, attendance expertise to various partners and executives for policy development and interpretation for cases from the Department of Labor
- Partner with Labor Systems and HR partners to strategize, plan, and implement system updates supporting an accurate time and attendance
- Monitor operation and share insights on trends and progress
- Ability to organize multiple work priorities across a team on a day to day basis while also coordinating work to meet a longer term goal/deadline
- A minimum of 5 years leading large teams
- Ability to quickly identify problems, think strategically to identify a solution, then solve with timely resolution and effective communication
- Ability to translate analytical results and technical concepts into clear, story-based presentations to share with non-technical and technical audiences
