Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for coaching, developing and leading the warehouse and receiving staff. This role provides supervision, training, coaching, development and motivation of the team members and complies with all safety, quality, quantity and property standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)


  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Execution/ownership of product variance controls/reduction plans.
  • Conducts team/department meetings to ensure continual education and awareness on department issues.
  • Supervises loading & unloading of trucks and verifies paperwork is correctly signed and documented. This may include receiving of VLTs at the loading dock, however, there will be no access to the interior of the VLT.
  • Ensures policies, rules & regulations and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure execution of random checking in/out audits.
  • Communicates effectively to team members and leads through changes in company policies and initiatives.
  • Verify correct identification and warehousing of products.
  • Ensures warehouse housekeeping, safety, security, organization and sanitation are at acceptable daily levels.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.
  • Monitors automated inventory system, maintaining integrity of inventory.
  • Organizes work for smooth operations.
  • Maintain and forecast proper inventory levels.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff in order to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established department objectives for the Compliance department.
  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to team members. Identifies performance opportunities and creates specific action plans to improve efficiencies.
  • Assist Inventory Control with monthly inventories.
  • Attend seminars when needed.


EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as 3 to 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 2 years of work experience in a warehouse environment with an overall knowledge of warehousing, storage & supply principles and processes. Prior experience in a supervisory position is required.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc)


  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.


KNOWLEDGE OF


  • Microsoft Office and materials management systems.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills to set clear expectations with direct reports.


ABILITY TO


  • Provide training and development to direct reports.
  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Use equipment including but not limited to a powered pallet jack, fork lift, hand truck, cart and electric scale.
  • Interact with team members and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Solve problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
  • Have a positive team player attitude, be energetic and driven.
