The Manager, Visual Merchandising & Planning will oversee and manage the global strategy for all visual merchandising seasonal updates. They will act as the primary point of contact for all discussions involving new product launches for merchandising, as well as maintaining and understanding all unique planogram types across gondolas, CTU's and SIS doors globally. This person will collaborate cross functionally with internal marketing, VM operations and regional team members to ensure all merchandising information related to new product launches is clear and provided on-time. This position will have no direct reports internally, but will manage strategic planning for project schedules and deliverables with external vendors and design consultants. What You Do


  • Ensure all strategic planning project timelines and deliverables are met
  • Work with global team to standardize merchandising modules and fixture components to optimize cost and support roll-out initiatives
  • Collaborate with Global Senior Manager, Print Production to ensure brand imagery and copy is holistically integrated with store design and merchandising solutions and follows brand standards
  • Create visual merchandising kickoff packages for seasonal updates that illustrate product removals/discos, new product launch, graphic opportunities and copy requirements approved by senior leadership
  • Own and update all merchandising planograms for seasonal launches: gondolas, specialty countertop units and custom shop-in-shop displays across retail channels globally
  • Review budget for seasonal updates with vendors and ensure all projects are designed within range of department budget goals at the strategic planning level
  • Perform store visits as needed to assess market trends in merchandising and design
  • Partner with key internal marketing team members to align on approved assortment planning, copy requirements and key product launch initiatives
  • Develop 3D renderings and design intent drawings for new product launches
  • Order new product testers for seasonal updates to corporate office to review initial strategic design direction
  • Work with external vendors to develop initial design concepts and budget planning for strategic seasonal update planning
  • Consistently update the Store Design/Visual Merchandising archive with project drawings, art files, and display modules by season for reference when approaching new projects.

Qualifications


  • Must be able to work from Corporate office at least 60% of the time
  • Degree in merchandising or other relevant educational experience and training
  • 4-6 years Visual Merchandising and/or related experience
  • Must be proficient in Sketchup, Photoshop, Powerpoint, Excel and Smartsheet
  • Proven experience with seasonal updates and new product launches with a beauty brand. Must have an understanding of how to read and update multiple planograms.
  • Prestige/luxury brand experience a plus


The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
