Overview
Our client, a Bay Area-based apparel brand, has spent the last decade or so building out an assortment of really cool, really comfortable apparel, and a fleet of 50+ stores in some pretty awesome locations. The intersection of those two things, and how they tell their brand story, is where this role comes to life.

The Director of Visual Merchandising will be responsible for the overall visual excellence of our fleet. This includes, first and foremost, the presentation of our product assortment within the stores. We are looking for someone with the ability to merchandise a store so the key product stories shine through, and so all fixtures and displays bring the brand to life.
Responsibilities

• Collaboration with store design team on new store build-outs and fixturization
• Create an inspiring customer experience through in-store merchandising and styling
• Take ownership of aesthetic and merchandise displays, including mannequins, signage, and other brand or marketing collateral, etc
• Elevate brand visual standards in existing stores and create materials to ensure uniform execution excellence across the fleet.
• Oversee merch photo feedback process and ensure standards are being met in the fleet
• Creation and execution of visual display standards in the retail fleet
• Own mannequin styling and elevate window displays
• Seasonal window displays
• Contribute to continual process improvement and strategic achievements in the store design and
• Day to day collaboration with merchants, planners, retail ops team, store designers, and store leaders.
• Strategy and subsequent execution in the field for monthly floor-sets : Execute 3 floor sets/month (large/mid/small format) in partnership with the Merch Team
• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate & inspire across the fleet.
• The role reports directly to the COO, who heads retail for the company
• Identify door level fixturization, signage and display opportunities and collaborate with real estate team to bring these ideas to fruition.

Qualifications

• High levels of creativity and aesthetic sense are required.
• A Strong Team Player.
• Must have experience in a visual merchandising leadership role, ideally with a brand with multiple doors and store formats.
• An Authentic Brand Advocate.
• Driven to Build Something Great.
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience a major plus.
• A keen eye for detail + high level creative output.
