This dynamic, highly collaborative role will partner with creative leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop exceptional visual merchandising programs in brick-and-mortar locations for North America, International and other channels. You’ll thrive when called upon to bring brand stories to life in a retail environment, while always reacting to business trends and proposing creative solutions to engage consumers at point-of-sale. You’re also a terrific communicator who takes pride in being extremely detail-oriented, especially in a fast-moving industry like beauty.


RESPONSIBILTIES:


VM Design and Support (75%)

  • With expertise in VM design and trends, conceptualize, plan and execute high-impact projects, including backwalls, display units, towers, endcaps, lightboxes and updates
  • Develop and maintain global guidelines to achieve cohesive look/feel, ensuring VM excellence throughout all channels/markets
  • Collaborate with vendors to produce, price and value engineer fixtures, including reviewing prototypes and providing feedback from all stakeholders
  • Serve as brand expert for all dimensional design elements, including architecture, layout, detailing and materials, along with an understanding of processes, costs and timelines
  • Support special external programs, as well as international affiliates/distributors with locally led projects, by providing detailed feedback, recommendations and best practices
  • With deep knowledge of brand stories and product launches/discos, oversee graphics from design to production, including reviewing proofs and providing feedback from all stakeholders
  • Create planograms and technical drawings as needed
  • Manage, create and update renderings for meetings and presentations


Project Management (25%)

  • Build and maintain any necessary VM files to work most efficiently (e.g., door formats, artwork sizes, etc.), documenting standard operation procedures as needed
  • Serve as the creative voice in timelining, proactively flagging risks/delays, making recommendations for feasibility and prioritizing critical growth projects
  • Partner with creative project management and cross-functional stakeholders on logistics to drive projects to completion, including finalizing sku assortments, liaising with vendors, communicating approvals and more
  • Manage supporting tasks to always execute with excellence, down to ensuring accurate product sizes, maintaining the mock store with stocked products/current designs, securing samples for vendors/external partners and more


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of fabrication/print processes, and experience managing VM vendors
  • Fundamental ‘can-do’ outlook with flexibility and agility
  • 3+ years of related experience with strong dimensional design background, including concept development and production
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, proficiency in Rhino (or comparable 3D rendering program) and understanding of planogramming software
  • Ability to understand business objectives to achieve timely execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Fashion and/or beauty background a plus
  • Extreme attention to detail, including top-notch organizing and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to empathize with vastly different cross-functional teams, such as marketing, sales and operations

This position is based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters, which is currently 40% hybrid onsite/remote work.

The expected base salary for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. In addition to base salary, Murad offers a competitive benefits package to eligible employees, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plans and company match, paid family leave, education-related programs, paid holidays, discretionary vacation time, and more.
