Your New Role...
We are currently seeking a Manager of Setup for the Financial Contract Reporting Administration (FCRA)’s Deal Management department, which handles talent information for all of Warner Bros. film, television, and new media libraries. It’s an exciting, fast paced organization that provides a unique opportunity to learn other aspects of the company , from production to initial film release through all downstream channels of distribution.
The Manager of Setup, Deal Management reviews new Theatrical, Television, Home Entertainment, and Games deal setups, manages the maintenance of existing contracts and system templates, and provides guidance to staff on best practices to ensure accuracy in reporting obligations in a timely manner. Additionally, this individual acts as a liaison between different groups within the department to assess and resolve potential and ongoing setup issues with regards to data cleanups and system enhancements.
Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Manage the different work streams, including but not limited to new deal setups for all groups, system template maintenance, deal setup change requests, on-request statements, system enhancements and robust user testing. Work with management to set priority and completion targets.
  • Assist in the implementation of appropriate internal controls (including SOX requirements). Assist in developing business standards, solutions and best practices for statement setups.
  • Prepare, review, and approve new participations deal setup and/or deal setup changes for deal compliance, accuracy, and presentation. Identify Deal Setup/Template deficiencies and provide analysis on impact, develop an actionable plan, and ensure the timely implementation of a resolution. Troubleshoot deal setup/system issues and collaborate with the technology team as well as the Participations Reporting team to resolve issues thru to completion.
  • Perform or review ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Develop new training materials and work with staff to update and consolidate existing documentation. Develop and train staff, schedule workflow, monitor team assignments and report status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Host training sessions within the group as well as to the entire division, as needed.
Qualifications And Experience...
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a finance, legal, accounting, auditing, or IT environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment, and work overtime as needed.
  • Must be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Experience with automated participations reporting system strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills required.
  • Outstanding time and workflow management skills to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field.
  • Ability to interface and interact with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Experience with system implementations and testing preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts of legal agreements.
  • Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box.
  • Prior experience with workflow tracking software (e.g., JIRA) a plus.
  • Expertise with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Participations and/or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $72,240.00 - $134,160.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
