Job Title: Manager of Quality Control


Location: Fenton, MO (On-site) Relocation Assistance: Yes

Job Overview:


As the Manager of Quality Control for our client, you will provide leadership to the Quality department and be responsible for managing and implementing N/E's Quality programs and systems. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that customers' specific and industry requirements are met or exceeded, providing superior products and services.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Promote resolution of Quality issues with Suppliers while monitoring all quality issues to ensure systematic problems are addressed.
  • Lead the department through communication of company and department goals, setting clear expectations, and actively coaching/developing team members.
  • Be involved in industry organizations that provide support to our quality efforts and provide an avenue for input into quality requirement changes.
  • Develop new Quality requirements to meet N/E goals.
  • Ensure Source Inspection process effectively reduces risk and minimizes cost due to fabrication errors.
  • Proactively work with department heads to create a high-performance team.
  • Develop customer relationships both at the project level and management level.

  • Knowledgeable about heavy fabrication, welding, NDE, inspection.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Good analytical thinking ability and problem resolution skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Travel up to 20% by car or plane. Lift or carry 11 20 lbs. Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
  • Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ASME and AWS specifications.
  • Four-year college education, engineering discipline preferred.
  • 5 8 years' experience in the quality field (ASME or similar code experience).


Must-Haves


  • Experience with or participated in ISO programs and audits.
  • Managing a quality assurance manual/program.
  • Four-year college education, engineering discipline preferred.
  • 5 8 years' experience in the quality field (ASME or similar code experience).
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools and databases.
  • ASME Section 1 Code, NDE methods, basic welding, etc.


Nice To Haves


  • Knowledgeable about heavy fabrication, welding, NDE, and inspection.
  • Knowledge of ASME and AWS specifications.
  • Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
