Job Description

Summary:


Our award-winning Real Estate client is seeking a Manager of Payroll Services. Our client is a leader in the industry and this is a rarely open position.


The incumbent will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing centralized payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing

of payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, equity compensation, benefits,

garnishments, tax and other deductions.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Human Resources for employee transaction processing and data transfer between HRIS and ADP.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure compliance with GAAP for equity compensation accounting.
  • Manage administration and user support for the e-Time timekeeping system.
  • Administer the employee stock purchase plan and handle related transactions.
  • Oversee accounting entries, funding, cash requests, wire transfers, bank reconciliations, check reports, escheat process, tax reconciliations, and filings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll calculations, classification, and accounting in accordance with laws and policies.
  • Maintain financial controls, audit trails, and reporting for payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining expertise in payroll compliance.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including ADP, e-Time, T Rowe Price, and WageWorks.
  • Process and reconcile employee stock plan transactions with the provider.
  • Oversee payroll data reporting for government agencies, Property Accounting, and management.
  • Calculate and manage payment of quarterly dividends for unvested restricted stock.
  • Coordinate payroll audits with external firms and handle employee garnishments.
  • Process non-qualified deferred compensation disbursements and update taxation information for vested restricted stock.


Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Improve policies and processes, identify automation opportunities, and manage the Payroll department, including hiring, training, coaching, and supervision.


Required Qualifications:

  • Previous exposure to ADP Vantage and Payforce conversion is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws, including FLSA and ERISA.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in multi-site/multi-state settings.
  • HR and benefits knowledge and expertise.
  • Supervisory management experience.
  • Preferred BA/BS degree.
  • Experience with ADP and Kronos (e-Time) time reporting software.
