Job Description


This role is responsible for managing event initiatives, fragrance education development and in-store merchandising support. Will be the owner of key areas such as managing artwork request for beauty and fragrance, project manager and point person with suppliers staying on budget, provide analytics of beauty & fragrance events, developing launch kits, delivering virtual events & trainings for Fragrances, and updating educational content for retailers (i.e. ULTA).

Retail Merchandising and Events

  • Create and manage go-to field event communication with relevant event content to then hand-off to Field Sales Team
  • Manage and execute digital and virtual events
  • Utilize weekly retail reporting to track event sales (Beauty and Fragrance)
  • Assist in the creation of the best-in-class visual merchandising in collaboration with retail experience team (Beauty and Fragrance)
  • Own, develop and manage seasonal innovation launch kits from concept to execution and ensure Cost of Goods (COGs) are hit (Fragrance)
  • Play a key role assisting in development of in-store event concepts and creating additional event elements to bring the brands to life in a unique way (Beauty and Fragrance)
  • Work directly with outside vendors, managing & responsible for timelines, creating briefs to source support tools and elements to enhance the in-store event environment (Beauty and Fragrance)

Fragrance Education

  • Own the seasonal account educational brochures and training one sheeters including gathering assets, creating layouts and production
  • Development of marketing presentations to accommodate field educational needs, by account
  • Manage education content that lives on mLearning (prestige and global fragrances) ensuring assets are up to date and relevant
  • Execute seasonal virtual Fragrance Specialist and account driven virtual trainings that are then accessible for Beauty Advisors
  • Create educational videos by managing the development of scripts and gathering assets from global marketing (Fragrance and Beauty)
  • Manage all education content that lives on customer education platforms ensuring assets are up to date and relevant

Creative Asset Management

  • Manage and input seasonal artwork for fragrance glorifiers, fragrance and beauty pop up banners, launch support tools, etc
  • Manage artwork requests with our internal Creative Studio including helping draft event copy, proofreading and follow up with approvals on artwork mechanicals from design through to production
  • Contribute to the development of assets for in-store experience

Project Management

  • Creates beauty flyers for in-store events and promotions (Beauty and Fragrance)
  • Prepare and track event reports and update seasonal event workbooks for beauty and fragrance (Red Door Experience, Event In a Box, etc)
  • Manage DNC/AAA/Distro orders from creation to tracking, ensuring timely delivery (Fragrance and Beauty)
  • Manage in-house product inventory. Order lab samples, contest prizes and gratis
  • Record and track vendor POs and invoices in our systems (i.e. Concur)
  • Manage the event calendar and publish weekly (Beauty and Fragrance) for Sales/Commercial teams
  • Collect and compile field documents (Beauty and Fragrance), including inventory of beauty tools and visuals related to in-store experience
  • Execute event-related project milestones including code creation, forecasting, creative art requests, etc for beauty and fragrance – managing the process and timelines to ensure on time delivery
  • Manage the checklist and timeline for account driven seasonal expos, conferences, virtual seminars, etc
  • Create Best in Show PowerPoint presentations after key launches, holidays and events (Beauty and Fragrance)

Budget Management

  • Responsible for target COGs are hit for GWP’s and tools sourced thru suppliers
  • Track and coordinate Capex budget for EA and Prestige Fragrance etc.

Competitive Analysis

  • Maintain a robust resource guide with a keen eye on industry trends, new ideas and competitive analysis
  • Utilize Simplified and in-store visits to gather additional competitive information (Beauty and Fragrance)

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with best-in-class power-point deck presentation skills for content and design, as well as delivery via virtual platforms
  • Familiar with JDE, Agile, Google Docs and SharePoint
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of 360-degree event activation development process
  • BA or BS degree from accredited college/university
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and advanced excel user
  • 5+ years of experience in areas such as Brand Management, Marketing, In-store Experience, Public Relations, Sales
  • Knowledge of Beauty Industry and trends
  • Able to think strategically and creatively, conceptualize and implement new ideas
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

The base pay range for this position in New York City is $91,500 and $120,000/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.
