Reporting into the Director, Health Plan, the Manager, Health Plan Delivery Services is accountable for managing the staff responsible for Project Management, Program Management, and implementation delivery of Availity Essentials and Provider Data Platform products to new and existing health plans through the entire implementation life cycle. This position works directly with clients and leadership at various levels within and outside of the organization. The Manager, Health Plan Delivery Services will be required to perform work assignment, sales support, backlog and forecast planning, reporting, customer success measurement, continual improvement, escalations, and ensure on-time delivery based agreed to scope for successful delivery. This role will be highly engaged with Product and Technology leadership (when needed) for the planning of implementation alignment for delivery of solutions.

To be qualified for this position you:
  • Ability to make sense of complex, intertwined set of business/technical issues and create a relevant picture of what matters the most to ensure an actionable plan
  • 3 years of leadership / managing people / supervisory role
  • Experience in interviewing and hiring practices
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare and/or IT related project implementations experience
  • Ability to lead and influence team members (both internal and Health Plan) to achieve the stated objectives and course correct when needed to ensure delivery success
  • High degree of comfort, confidence, and fluency in communicating with executive leadership team
  • Ability to communicate and present in verbal and written format in a clear, concise, and professional manner, appropriately tailored to audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Proven track record in managing multiple, complex strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated political awareness and ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with internal and external customers and ability to cultivate effective, productive customer relationships and partnerships
  • Solid understanding and experience in Health Plan’s integration, process, and program needs and how they align with Availity’s products and best practices
  • Solid understanding of both Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
  • Strong ability to make sound decisions on priorities and motivate teams towards improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in work experience
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly stressful and changing environment with tight deadlines and timeframes
  • Experience / participation in healthcare industry data organizations
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Possess strong communication skills and discuss complex technical concepts in a simple and consumable message to external stakeholders
  • Ability to produce critical deliverables in a high time bound engagement with minimal guidance
You will set yourself apart with:
  • Provider Data Management experience
  • Healthcare Technology experience
  • PMP or PgMP Certification
You will be:
  • Ensuring implementation processes and procedures, including key milestones, and timeframes are met and identifies opportunities for process improvement
  • Managing, assigning, and prioritizing Health Plan implementation related project and program management activities through the implementation lifecycle
  • Acting as a point of escalation to resolve complex issues and/or reassign cases to ensure rapid resolution to customer issues
  • Identifying the roles, skills, and knowledge required and ensure staff has the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives
  • Documenting and presenting constructive performance assessments, and sets developmental goals
  • Accountable for revenue stream as implementations are delivered and cost center budgeting activities as required
  • Managing human resources related activities to include hiring, coaching, and mentoring, as appropriate
  • Participating in cross-functional group of stakeholders ensuring the right project structure, governance, and resource allocation to deliver on commitments in support of the Health Plan strategy
  • Providing executive level communications (both verbal and in writing) on program status
  • Committing to on-going training, and teambuilding to support strong team culture and resource retention
  • Managing and maintaining implementation KPIs to measure performance and efficiency against our goals. Utilizes KPIs to drive improvements
  • Providing guidance for, plans, leads, and facilitates critical discussions with both the client leadership and SME's
  • Maintaining budgets including forecasts and manage costs and resource needs
  • Managing the work schedule for the team to ensure appropriate resource allocation
