Job Description
Position Summary:
The Memphis Redbirds are looking for an outgoing and energetic person to provide excellent guest service experiences at AutoZone Park. AutoZone Park has a reputation of providing a great fan experience and the ideal candidate will maintain current standards while constantly seeking to improve the fan experience. The ideal candidate must be willing to work extended hours as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Functions:
  • Maintain, distribute, and track stadium equipment such as ticket scanners, metal detecting wands, radios, tables, chairs, etc.
  • Plan & execute set-up and break-down of all events held at AutoZone Park, including baseball to soccer and soccer to baseball stadium conversions. Be willing to assist where necessary.
  • Schedule police, EMTs, janitorial staff, and other third-party contractors for all events
  • Set up events in payroll system and approve gameday employee hours
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure stadium is prepared for all events
  • Order, distribute, and manage inventory of all gameday staff uniforms
  • Develop and enforce gameday staff policies and procedures
  • Hire, train, and schedule all gameday staff including ushers, ticket takers, guest services representatives, team attendants, and interns
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Compile information and write game day newsletter for distribution to all stadium employees
  • Facilitate all aspects of stadium special event rentals - sales, contracts, setup & breakdown, staffing, logistics – and serve as on-site event manager for such events

Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to speak Spanish will be considered a plus
  • 2-3 years of managerial experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, sports management, or related field is required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Availability to work outside traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
  • 2-3 years of guest services experience is required

Compensation:
$40,000 annual salary + benefits
