Project Manager
American Express, the world's most respected service brand, has outstanding opportunities for Industrial Engineers working within the Global Program & Investment Management team under Global Servicing Group (GSG). The Global Servicing Group (GSG) plays a central role in helping the company achieve that vision, with an interconnected team of nearly 30,000 employees and partners operating in 22 markets around the world, all focused on serving our customers and shareholders.
This manager role in Global Program & Investment Management (GPIM) will be collaborating with a team of Project Analysts and will be supporting various initiatives working along with Capabilities, Technologies, Global Capacity and Contact Management (GCCM) additionally to the Business among others. The manager will participate actively in all phases of the projects along with these cross-functional teams.
The GPIM team drives extraordinary service value and engagement across GSG through new insights, strategic partnering, and disciplined delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
• Leading delivery of strategic and transformational GSG projects and programs
• Work on high-impact, executive-sponsored strategic projects in critical focus areas (product development, market sizing, international expansion, and membership strategy)
• Set strategic direction, identify projects, establish deliverables, and set milestones for projects and delegate work as appropriate
• Managing project scope, sequencing, and prioritization
• Creating communications & updates to key stakeholders/leadership
• Partnering with all impacted groups across the organization to ensure strategy and procedural alignment
• Synthesizing insights from multiple sources and utilizing frameworks to logically and concisely structure information
• Offering thought leadership and partnering with Business Teams to generate and present implementable solutions
• Detailed plan management and ability to identify and escalate project risks / issues timely to ensure maximum business benefits are achieved
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3 years project management experience
• Shift Hours: US working hours
• Strong project management, decision-making skills and the ability to resolve complex problems independently
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
