About the Job:

We are looking for a Manager to lead the in-Restaurant Margin Improvement program with with high accountability, intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, great communication style, a partnership mentality, and comfort turning facts into recommendations. Reporting to the Director, Field Finance, the Manager is responsible for leading margin improvement for our Company-owned restaurants, helping maintain our industry leading margin of 23-24%, developing the strategy and action plan to drive continuous restaurant margin improvement—particularly through sales levers, labor and productivity initiatives. The individual must be able to influence cross-functional business partners and effectively provide the Finance point-of-view on complex business opportunities to senior management, team members and Yum.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Create framework for testing and measuring effectiveness
  • Continually drive process improvement and efficiency through both existing roadmap and building out future roadmap
  • Develop executive-level presentations and updates
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to develop ongoing strategy and plan of action to drive margin improvement
    • Ideate on new opportunities and develop prioritization
    • Evaluate total cost in use of existing processes vs external benchmarks and alternate solutions
    • Create framework for testing and measuring effectiveness
    • Develop business case and financial modeling to quantify savings
    • Align senior leadership
    • Report and track progress periodically
  • Manage current margin projects in test or implementation phase
  • Align senior leadership
  • Drive execution of initiatives through cross-functional teams and rolling out solutions across the system
  • Report and track progress periodically
  • Evaluate total cost in use of existing processes vs external benchmarks and alternate solutions
  • Ideate on new opportunities and develop prioritization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure margin opportunities do not impact the customer or team member experience
  • Develop business case and financial modeling to quantify savings

Is This You?

  • 7+ years relevant work experience (e.g. Corporate Finance, Business Operations, Consulting), QSR / retail / multi-unit franchise industry experience a plus
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task in a complex and deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong team building/managerial experience is preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication/presentation skills, with ability to partner well with other team members and interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and ability to identify and leverage best practices
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner
  • BS/BA, MBA/CPA a plus

Salary Range $115,600-$164,780 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
