Manager, ESG Sustainability Consulting
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors, though non-financial, can have a material impact on the long-term risk and financial performance of a company. Principally, companies that correctly apply ESG are more conscientious, less risky and more likely to succeed in the long run.
About the team
The Role & Key Responsibilities :
We are looking for a manager to join our ESG & Sustainability team in New York City. Managers typically manage multiple projects and oversee a team of consultants and analysts, while being involved in aspects of our analytical work as well. This is a client-facing role, involving building and managing investor client relationships as well as engagement with and strategic guidance of portfolio companies’ management on the ESG & Sustainability topics. Ultimately, managers are responsible for the quality of the product, for building and managing client relationships, and for the learning & development processes of the teams they manage. Example projects range from development of ESG & Sustainability policies & strategies for Investment funds, annual ESG assessments and development of sustainability strategy roadmaps for companies, and facilitation of ESG strategy sessions with company management.
As a manager, you are involved in evolving the overall strategy of the ESG & Sustainability team together with the senior team (managers, principals, and directors). This includes topics as performance of various workstreams, growing the team, and geographic expansion.
As a manager in the New York team, you will be actively involved in the Business Development of the office. You will meet and onboard potential clients, attend conferences to grow our network, organize ESG academies to share knowledge, and pitch our services to interested parties.

Skills Required:
- As you will be helping us in setting up our New York office, we are searching for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who gets energized by getting things done.
- Strong Communication both verbal and written
- We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with 5+ years of work experience.
- Experience in consulting in private equity, banking or ESG is critical.
- Strong project management and client relationship management skill
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong report writing and verbal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
- Working knowledge or a genuine interest in sustainability.
- If you have an excellent academic record with a master's degree in finance, business administration, economics/econometrics or engineering and are looking to make a positive impact.
- Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills

Salary ranges from USD $130,000 – USD $160,000.00 plus company's discretionary bonus based on performance. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
