Our team is focused on accelerating the business growth of Google Cloud using quantitative programs. These programs combine data science, workflow solutions, and sales strategy to drive incremental uplift across all sales teams. Our team is comprised of data science and program management functions and partners closely with Engineering and Sales teams. As the Manager of the Data Science team, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of predictive models that are productionized in our sales workflows. You will also lead a team of Data Scientists, who leverage data to drive business results. Combining your quantitative accuracy and business acumen, you will shape and execute the modeling strategy that drives our programmatic sales framework. Through working cross-functionally with teams across Google Cloud, you will get exposure and visibility to executives and be sought out as a trusted advisor by partner teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $172,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

- Experience in data foundations: SQL, data manipulation procedural language, statistics, experimentation, and modeling.
- Experience in people management.
- 6 years of experience in statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with and developing for non-technical users (defining requirements, explaining technical concepts to non-technical business users, etc.).
- Experience with ETL, data mining, and processing with multiple datasets using distributed computing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex findings in a structured and clear manner to a non-technical audience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or similar quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of data scientists. Act as a thought leader by translating business needs into technical requirements and oversee the implementation of solutions.
- Research new ways of modeling data proactively to unlock actionable insights or improve business processes.
- Partner with non-technical stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, help frame the problem by asking the right questions, and prioritize requirements. Communicate results of complex technical work.
- Design an appropriate Machine Learning modeling architecture to support Google Cloud business needs.
- Contribute to the development of the analytical frameworks, tools, skills, and culture for the team and wider organization.
