Job Summary/Purpose


Supports stakeholder understanding of opportunities and challenges of Entergy New Orleans through proactive communications and the anticipation of significant issues by developing and implementing effective communication internally and externally, with particular focus on retail customers, regulators and employees.


Job Duties/Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute best-in-class communication strategies for Entergy New Orleans, ensuring (1) a clear linkage to operating company business needs and objectives, and (2) alignment with the ENOI president and lead team.
  • Assist in developing/executing communications strategies to support the strategic imperative to become the premier utility.
  • Stay abreast and be an avid learner of new trends in digital and social media and emerging technologies and incorporate into communications strategies and plans.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies contributing to improved customer satisfaction of ENOI and the creation of effective regulatory constructs.
  • Ensure talent development through effective performance reviews, knowledge sharing and career opportunities. Create and sustain a culture of safety and provide a rewarding, engaging and diverse work environment for employees.
  • Anticipate and manage emerging issues and mitigate risk associated with them. Demonstrate value for the communities we serve.
  • Provide superior communication strategy and execution for recovery from major outages.
  • Communicate company positions on key energy, environmental and regulatory policy issues in support of competitive rates of return and productive regulatory strategies.
  • Ensure close coordination with ENOI governmental, regulatory and customer service leads to ensure integrated internal and external strategies in support of the operating company business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local media to offer counsel and guidelines to ENOI managment for the effective use of this communications channel.
