Job Summary

This position has several key responsibilities within Business Customer Solutions and is leading a diverse group of professionals responsible for managing large new business projects and relationships for PSE&G’s largest developers. Support administrative and personal development requirements of team. Maintain internal relationships with operating departments and other areas within Business Customer Solutions and Customer Care to assure delivery of services to customers. team.. Role must be liaison between business, the Electric Divisions, Asset Management, Renewables and Energy Solutions and IT with a strong customer focus. Provides resolutions of escalated issues and emergency backup coverage as needed.

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible to lead and manage a diverse group of professionals and activities for large new business projects. Responsible for the direction, training, coaching and mentoring of associates involved such projects. The amount of new business occurring in NJ continues to grow and expand to new areas (Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage, etc.). As a result, the area has been prime for process improvement initiatives relative to business need due to increased jobs, as well as requirements set forth by the Board of Public Utility and FERC.
Position must interact and collaborate with external developer/industry groups to facilitate positive working relationships relative to projects (i.e. NJ Builders Association, Choose NJ).
This position requires effectively communicating and obtaining support across multiple cross-functional departments within Customer Care, Electric and Gas Distribution, Internal Services, Renewables and Energy Solutions, Regulatory, Asset Management and Regional Public Affairs.
Relative to new business project management, ensures the success of the project consultancy team:
  • Remaining engaged with and following economic development throughout the state of NJ.
  • Significant medium to large-sized projects of a complex nature and projects with regional significance and/or technical complexity.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for complex issues (combined heat and power, Interconnection, Solar, high tension service
  • BPU approved programs, including Clean Energy Future Electric Vehicle Programs
  • Ensure the success of a team of project consultants by monitoring and measuring project progress via analytics, field visits, communicating with customers/developers, reviewing Delivery Work Management notifications, tracking of payment, and reconciliation of time and material projects.
  • Identifying, implementing and leading process improvement efforts.


Job Specific Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA plus 7 years’ work experience or, in lieu of a degree, 10 years’ related business experience.

Proficient with Microsoft applications and familiarity with Customer Information Systems, DWMS, and SalesForce.

Knowledge of tariffs and NJ administrative code.

Must possess a valid U.S driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.

Desired qualifications:

Understanding of the process interdependencies between Electric and Gas Distribution and Customer Care. Knowledge of electric and gas operations and project management.

Strong skills in oral and written communication to respond to internal and external executive and regulatory inquires.
