Overview:

We are actively recruiting for a Manager, Benefits & People Operations to join the team and support our most valuable asset – our team members! Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for executing people programs supporting 600 (and growing) team members. In this role, you will evangelize our culture and own benefits administration, compliance, engagement, talent acquisition, and special projects. To be an ideal candidate, you’ll need a broad human resources background supporting geographically dispersed employee populations and the ability and genuine desire to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You must also be able to engage and communicate how valued our drivers and customer service team members are and create programs to enhance their lives.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to creating a fun, productive, and high-performing work environment.
  • Develop and support internal special projects from inception to execution, leveraging a highly data-driven, analytical approach.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching across the organization related to all HR programs and initiatives.
  • As a key member of the HR team, ensure a winning people experience from the initial engagement as a candidate to onboarding, engagement, and talent development, to exit and beyond.
  • Execute consistent people policies and practices that are compliant with all applicable jurisdictional employment laws. Maintain current knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, talent acquisition, comp & benefits, talent management, and general HR across the US to ensure policies remain compliant as local, state, and federal laws change.
  • Work alongside the executive team to build and maintain a best-in-class culture and work environment. Ensure that FusionSite retains a dynamic and engaged workforce.
  • Actively participate in benefits design, negotiation, and administration. Identify opportunities for improvement, and then implement those best practices. Design & build leave management programs.
  • Listen to and engage with team members on feedback and/or issues that impact people experience. Present ideas and/or solutions to enhance the team member experience based on this feedback.

What you have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Progressive and broad People/Benefits/Talent Operations experience.
  • Proven experience building collaborative relationships leading to the successful execution of defined goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. HR Certifications are preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and be open to a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong detail-oriented eye for accuracy and love of data for decision-making.
  • Demonstrable ability to coach and influence at all levels including stakeholders.

You will love this job if you are:

  • An independent worker: you must have a strong, demonstrated ability to drive work and achieve results independently (this is a must), with high-level guidance and direction.
  • Hungry to learn: you will be doing something new every day. You must have a passion and excitement for learning about the inner workings of a startup.
  • Process-driven: you should be able to take something that is unstructured and build a process or structure around it, since you will be starting initiatives from scratch in this role.
  • Looking to take on a high degree of ownership: our philosophy is the more you excel, the more responsibility you take on. We are looking for those that are seeking a high degree of ownership and aren’t afraid to blaze trails.
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done: you must be able to get down “in the weeds” to become an expert in many organizational processes and be able to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Team before titles.
  • Broad in your range of knowledge: you will be engaging with team members on all areas of human resources, benefits, compliance, compensation, coaching, and development, you will be involved with all aspects of the function.
