Overview


As a Tech 1 Engineer on our engineering team, you work to create memorable guest experiences by ensuring that our buildings and amenities are running properly. You will work quickly to respond to guests requests and work together with the Engineering Team on property wide projects.

Responsibilities


  • Utilizing highest quality work standards in all tasks and assignments according to performance and safety requirements
  • Conduct self as a resource for all departments of the resort
  • Support and assure compliance of all local, state and federal regulations
  • Completion of routine and emergency maintenance and the operation of the physical structure of the resort, all mechanical systems and any other systems which affect the operation of the facility
  • Effective utilization of on-line work order system
  • Maintain cleanliness and integrity of mechanical areas, shops, tool carts and tools
  • Compliance with departmental and company grooming standards
  • Perform any necessary repairs or maintenance as required or assigned
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Engineering Manager
  • Available for emergency contact
  • Available to work any shift as deemed necessary by Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer


Qualifications


  • Enjoys challenges and situations where solutions are not obvious
  • Ability to make correct decisions in a high stress environment
  • Basic working knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Must understand the usage of hand tools and some power tools
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to multitask various problems or assignments
  • Proven ability to take charge and work with minimum supervision
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction
