Our client, established in 1992 as a metal trading company, has grown into one of the largest integrated steelmakers in the world. As a large steel manufacturer, the company also has expanded their operations to mining, coal, and various minerals. Currently, we’re hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team at their Denver Recycling facility. This position involves performing preventative maintenance, preventing equipment failures, and ensuring production needs are met in the recycling facility. What You Will Be Doing

• Performing preventative maintenance, preventing equipment shutdowns, and proactively preventing mechanical failures
• Supporting with training and supporting the Supervisor with tasks and completing work orders within a timely manner
• This position also involves working with bearing shaft head pulleys, tail pulleys, changing hammers, and mill liners
• Handling pre shift inspections, monitoring equipment, and ensuring production is able to meet their goals by maintaining all equipment
• Maintain safety standards, support safety initiatives, and follow proper LOTO procedures
• Support the team with projects, offering recommendations, and implementing new procedures
• As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll perform maintenance and repairs on recycling equipment and shredders, conveyors systems, and gearboxes

What You Bring To The Table

• Experience working with conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Flux Core and Stick welding experience
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Safety oriented mindset
• Leadership skills and the ability to support training as needed
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A proactive nature to ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on equipment before there are breakdowns
• The ability communicate effectively
• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting- working with industrial shredders is a plus!
• A great attitude
• The ability to work with a collaborative team

This position is Monday- Friday, starting at 7 am - 5 pm. Overtime may be required on Saturday’s as needed.
