Job Summary


This management position will be responsible for the daily groundskeeping and custodial maintenance at all MCC campus sites. This includes MCC’s custodians and groundskeepers, as well as custodial and landscape contractors. This position will also oversee arial lift, forklift and heavy equipment operations to include annual inspections, maintenance and repairs by third party vendors as well as oversee life safety systems, annual fire system inspections, and elevator inspections at all MCC locations.

This position will also manage our recycle program and the semi-annual hazmat removals and supervise the campus events setups and take downs.

Essential Functions


20% - Manage all custodial needs for all MCC campus sites, this includes in-house technicians, and outsourced contract services

20% - Manage all groundskeeping needs for all MCC campus sites, this included in-house technicians and outsourced contract services

15% Oversee Life safety systems, Annual fire system inspections, Elevator inspections at all MCC locations.

15% - Oversee all Arial lift, forklift and Heavy equipment operations to include annual inspections, maintenance and repairs by third party vendors.

10% - Manage all event setups and take downs

10% - Other duties as assigned

5% - Manage the MCC recycle program

5% - Manage the hazmat removals

Minimum Qualifications


High School Diploma or GED, nine years of experience related to the management of facilities and grounds maintenance operations which includes two years of supervisory experience.


There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.


Desired Qualifications


A. Minimum 10 Years Maintenance and Operations Experience at an Educational Institution.

B. ABPA Back Flow Certified

C. Minimum 5 Years managing/supervising third party vendors/contractors

D. Minimum 3 Years managing/supervising life safety systems.

E. Experience managing both groundskeepers and custodians

F. Minimum 5 Years of event set up experience.

G. OSHA 30 General Safety and Health Certified.

Special Working Conditions

  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.
  • May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs.
  • This position will require travel to all MCC campus sites, must have a valid drivers’ license.
