Maintenance – Multi-Skilled (Electricians/Mechanics):
- $1/Hour Shift Differential for Night Shift
- $1500 Retention Bonus for New Hires and Qualifying Rehires

- Starting Wages Begin At $28.00/Hour With Regular Wage Progressions Every 6 Months.
JOB SUMMARY:
Conducts, designs, installs, maintains, tests, adjusts, and repairs mechanical/electrical components throughout the plant and warehouses in a timely fashion to ensure that production is minimally impacted. Applies knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
Here’s What You Will Be Doing:
- Once qualified, instruct and train other multi-skilled employees.
- Install, test, adjust, and repair all mechanical/electrical systems and equipment in the plant and warehouses.
- Make necessary measurements, estimate materials required, and requisition supplies as needed through the shift supervisor/manager.
- Maintain 6S, keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly; Maintain work system tools.
- Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions; Lubricate assigned mechanical/electrical equipment at specified intervals.
- Advise operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with mechanical/electrical equipment and components.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Follow maintenance schedule and complete necessary reports.
- Inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential mechanical/electrical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Work in high areas and overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work as needed.
- Operate man lifts (i.e., boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
- Ensure production, warehousing, and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Communicate with the oncoming shift.
- Make necessary measurements, estimate materials required, and requisition supplies as needed through the shift supervisor/manager.
- Perform root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
- Plan and lay out new installations.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment; Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
- Maintain checklists, lubrication lists on other related records as required (PM’s).
- Use SAP to enter the length of repair time, repair history, and to look up parts information.
Required Skills
Required Skills:
- 2-year Maintenance or Mechanical/Electrical Associates Degree preferred.
- Ability to provide your own tools not provided by Graphic Packaging International.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong electrical background
- Ability to complete written and driving examination required to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator license.
- Ability to take direction from others, and to follow verbal or written instructions.
- Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to work overtime and plant holidays, as scheduled, and to work on alternate shifts to facilitate training and to cover the opposite shift.
- General computer experience.
