The primary duties will focus on industrial electrical distribution, industrial controls, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and devices. Priority one is to provide a safe work environment for you and fellow team members.
This work will take place at various grain storage and milling facilities located throughout the Midwest and in North Carolina. This position will require travel to all locations. Typically, this travel occurs Monday-Friday with being home most weekends. Occasional work over weekends, although rare, does occur.
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Properly maintain work areas and company issued property
• Company provided vehicle for travel to and from home to work sites will be provided in some instances.
• Network termination of fiber optic and copper cables
• Installation of rigid conduit (Bending and threading)
• Troubleshooting of control systems
• Understand Arc Flash ratings and recommended practices
• Termination of wire at components
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment
• Installation of motor drive devices (Soft start, VFD, full voltage)
• Prioritize tasks with the supervisor
• Recommend changes, modifications, or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance.
• Installation of PLC and user interfaces
• Coordinate and monitor outside contractors if under your supervision.
• Upgrading of outdated systems and components
• Troubleshooting of 480-volt 3-phase electrical distribution systems
• Pulling of wire into raceways
• Update projects list and write reports with use of PC
• Take responsibility for safe work behavior
• Build industrial control panels from schematics

Requirements of a successful Industrial Maintenance Electricians:

• High school diploma or GED
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• At least 3 years of industrial electrical experience
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:

• You will be required to wear PPE
• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• You will work at heights
• This job can be physically strenuous
