3 plus years of electro-mechanical experience in an industrial maintenance setting preferred.

Experience with heavy industrial equipment (i.e., Cranes, Forklifts, Presses, Furnaces)

Must know working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

Must have knowledge and understanding of the current National Electrical Code (NEC).

Assist in other areas after primary job duties are completed to facilitate cross-training.

High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.

Must have knowledge of acceptable maintenance procedures and an understanding of occupational safety and health regulations.

Military experience or experience working in federal facilities.

Analytical thinking and problem solving skills, effective organizational, time management and communication skills.

Advanced knowledge of electrical systems with experience in 480 volt to 4160 volt electrical systems.

Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.

AA Degree, certifications or licenses desirable.

Minimum of 2 years experience in chemical/manufacturing/construction or related work.

Reads electrical blueprints and schematics.

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Previous electrician experience working in an industrial environment

Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems

Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying your PLC knowledge

Work directly with cross-departmental personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum production efficiencies.

Enforces plant polices in the execution of their assigned duties. Report violations of plant polices to the Management.

Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.

Gains complete knowledge of plant's processes and packaging systems.

Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.

Properly trouble-shoot and maintain production lines and/or batching/processing equipment.

Must have a working knowledge of computers, and PLC’s.

Assemble, test, or maintain electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools.

Provide support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use.

Must have significant experience in operating production machines.

Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience.

MA electrician’s license or related experience and plan to obtain proper licensure.

Must have Power Plant, 4160 volt experience

Must have at least 2 years of related commercial electrical experience

Must be able to reside on the Island in a remote location with limited medical facilities.

Must be a US citizen

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Must have a Journeyman's license

Proven journey level skills and experience performing modifications, repairs, installations and alterations to a variety of electrical systems and components.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, adaptability,tactfulness and decisiveness. Experience working in customer service environment.

Demonstrated journey level knowledge and ability to work on a variety of control devices used in electrical, lighting and machinery systems.

Experience instructing and guiding others in standard testing and troubleshooting methods.

Experience planning, scheduling and ordering materials for all types of electrical construction jobs.

Familiarity with Medium Voltage (12kv) electrical systems

Must have high school diploma or GED and must demonstrate the willingness to continue to upgrade educational experience.

Experience in heavy industrial Electric Maintenance or equivalent desired.

Must be able to work in the United States and have acceptable I-9 documentation.

Ability to work safely and comply with all Federal, State, Local and WestRock laws, regulations, and practices.

Analyze equipment histories to reduce variability, improve quality, reduce cost and/or enhance reliability. Leading edge preventive maintenance.

Responsible for software on modern distributive control systems.

Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):

Ability to meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required.

Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

Work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Four (4) years’ experience in electrical maintenance work.

Minimum 2 years' industrial maintenance experience.

Experience Troubleshooting 480V Motors and Controls.

Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field.

Company Written Job Knowledge Test (Journeyman, 1st 12 mos).

Working from blueprints: installs conduit, pulls in conductors and makes connections; installs and replaces wiring on control switchboard panels.

Starts diesels as required for maintenance purposes.

Sets up instruments for various tests such as hi-potting, megger tests, etc.

Erects rigging and performs general maintenance such as painting.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

One (1) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks SCDC Basic Training upon hire

Program, install and troubleshoot remote monitoring systems.

The position is a 3rd shift position, 9:30PM to 6AM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.

At least 5 years of experience in an environment with high tech machines.

Prior manufacturing, maintenance, electrical and mechanical experience preferred.

Has a solid understanding of all the Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems of the equipment that comprises its operation.

Reads, edits, and creates PLC Ladder Logic as it relates to the operation & modification of our production equipment.

Follows all the safety procedures per the Company Regulations and also the State and Federal Regulations (NFPA70E, OSHA, etc.).
