City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is looking for qualified Maintenance Electrical Workers (Journeyman Lineman) to work on the electrical system at our Hil Air Force Base location. CLP guarantees 40 hours of work every week and requires personnel to be on call (rotation based).

General Requirements:

• Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems
• Respond to emergency callouts, and remote assignment, to restore electrical service as needed, which may involve working in different adverse weather conditions to restore electrical service
• Inspect, test, repair, maintain, install, replace and operate (switch) medium and low voltage power system and related equipment
• Utilize GPS tablets for data recording & preventative maintenance
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed
• Install, replace and test multifunction power meters and streetlights
• Operate cranes, digger trucks, aerial trucks, tensioners, underdogs and equipment necessary to complete related work
• Repair (splice), replace, pull and terminate underground electrical cables

Work Authorization/Union Requirements/Security Clearance:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) required.
• You must be a US Citizen.
• You will be required to obtain Military Base Security Clearance.
• Become signatory to local union IBEW 57 and pay IBEW 57's required dues.
