What does a Machine Operator do at Swire Coca-Cola?
First of all, you get to produce the beverages that people LOVE! In our production facility, you will run automated manufacturing equipment to produce a variety of beverages. You will also be responsible for basic maintenance of the equipment you run – so your skill set will grow as you learn to operate a variety of machines/equipment. This is our entry level position into our Production Team as a Machine Operator – little to no experience is required. We will train you! We operate on a 24/7 operational schedule --COME JOIN OUR TEAM!
Responsibilities

• Perform quality review of equipment to maintain safety and performance standards
• Follow established safety, quality, and environmental policies, practices, and programs
• Set up machinery and ensure all production materials are available and ready
• Operate and monitor less complex equipment and machines under general supervision; replenish materials as needed throughout the production shift
• Support Continuous Improvement by participating in root cause / corrective action analyses when equipment is not performing at optimal level
• Provide basic maintenance of equipment, to include cleaning, inspection of equipment, and lubrication
• Visually inspect production run and document results
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area; maintain organized workspace

Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret work instructions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand for up to 10+ hours during shift
• Knowledge of manufacturing, production operations, and industrial technology preferred
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
• Ability to reach overhead frequently
• Ability to ascend and descend sets of stairs – both metal grate and concrete – on a frequent basis
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
• High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate
• Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment
