Job Summary
**This announcement is to fill two Lottery Sales Representative (LSR) vacancies**
The Minnesota State Lottery is seeking a highly motivated, well organized, people-person to promote fun as a Lottery Sales Representative! This position works directly with approximately 115 retailers that sell Lottery products. This involves identifying potential new businesses to recruit as retailers within the territory and making sales presentations to business owners and managers to identify opportunities to increase sales through training, promotions, and marketing recommendations. This position also works directly with members of the public at events to promote Lottery products.
Both vacancies will be based out of the Roseville Headquarters Office and will cover the Metro West Region.
The first vacancy will cover the Metro West territory which include the following cities: Crystal, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale, and St. Louis Park.
The second vacancy will cover the Metro West territory which include the following cities: Bloomington, Cologne, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Glencoe, Greenwood, Hutchinson, Lester Prairie, Mayer, Minnetonka, Mound, Navarre, New Germany, Norwood Young America, Plato, Shorewood, Silver Lake, Spring Park, St. Bonifacius, Victoria, Waconia, Watertown, and Winsted.
The positions will travel close to 100%. A state issued vehicle will be assigned for business purposes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper crediting. please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job. To qualify, you must meet one of the following:
- Two years of professional sales experience that includes territory management, product merchandising, and promotional experience (counter sales, sales of services, and delivery driving do not count as professional sales experience); OR
- Completion of the Lottery Sales Representative Alternative Qualification Program and be a current Minnesota State Lottery employee
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related degree AND one year of professional sales experience described above; OR
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.
All applicants must possess and maintain a valid Class D Driver's License.

Physical Requirements
This job requires occasionally lifting articles up to 25-30 pounds and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as promotional materials and dispenser cases. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting for extended periods of time.
