Position: Logistics Specialist (Full-Time with rotating on-call weekends)


Division: GMLx, Tier 2


Location: Norcross, GA (on-site)


FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt


Hourly Pay: $19.53 (base rate + consideration for related & verified experience)

Position Summary: This role will report directly to the Assistant Operations Manager and will have no direct reports. The Logistic Specialist is responsible for shipping, receiving, storage, distribution, inventory and cycle counting of medical devices in a warehouse environment. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates or recent graduates in any Operations / Supply Chain / Logistics program.


Scope of Role Responsibilities:

  • Dispose of damaged, defective, or obsolete products through proper regulatory and quality procedures.
  • Store items orderly and easily accessible in warehouse based on protocol.
  • Receive incoming orders and diligently check products for quality before signing to accept.
  • Prepare records of inventory shortages and shipments.
  • Keep records of all interactions and transactions of data regarding product and inventory inquires.
  • Use computers and software to enter, access, and retrieve data.
  • Inspect products or materials for damage, defects, or shortages.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse to meet OSHA and FDA regulations.
  • Understand and implement procedures to manage inventory shelf life and expiring inventory.
  • Meet established metrics for operations (i.e. service levels).
  • Perform or assist with other duties and projects as needed & as assigned.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation schedule.
  • Ensure SOP compliance, delivery performance, properly timed billing and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and support quality initiatives throughout the organization.
  • The essential functions include but are not limited to supporting all partners / customers in supply chain activities (warehousing, distribution, inventory, quality standards, shipping & receiving).
  • Review and verify outgoing orders for accuracy.
  • Ensure that billing, shipping and receiving requirements/schedules are met as specified by the customers or the company.


Critical Experience & Skills:

  • Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehouse previous experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work varying hours/shifts as necessary, to include rotating weekends.
  • Customer focused/must work well with customers of all levels/backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced rapidly growing environment in which collaboration in all directions is necessary.
  • Undergraduate Degree or related experience in supply chain/logistics is a plus.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.


This position requires a general availability between 8am - 8pm. During the training process, work shifts may start as early as 8am. The standard schedule may ultimately be 9am - 6pm or 10am - 7pm with rotating on-call weekends (approximately 1 per month).


Physical Demands:

  • Moderate to heavy physical activity. Repetitive daily lifting of at least 50 pounds.
  • Standing, sitting or moving for extended amounts of time within the warehouse facility.
