Job Description

Acara solutions is seeking a Logistics Manager to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire located in AZ 85353


  • Review and determination of relevant import applicable requirements for products, such as tariff classification, FTA and GSP eligibility, valuation, country of origin, AD/CVD, and denied party screening.
  • Determine Partner Government Agency (PGA) applicability for products, assess items for clearance, permit, license, and/or documentation requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly/annual inventory reconciliation, and FTZ reports.
  • Work closely with internal and external legal teams and consultants to complete all FTZ activation.
  • FTZ site implementations, ability to manage FTZ audits, as well as drive CIP initiatives to meet internal customer warehousing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain FTZ operating manual specific to zone operations.
  • Manage appropriate customs declarations related to ISF, in-bonds CF7512, permits to transfer, CF 214 admissions, and CF 7501, etc.
  • Support and manage Customs & Border Protection requirements related to Foreign Trade Zone regulations.
  • Lead the FTZ (Free-Trade Zone) project implementation by coordinating communications with local and overseas internal teams, providing guidance on best practices, analysis and recommend most cost-efficient operations.


Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • 5 years' minimum experience as a supervisor/ management
  • 5 years minimum experience of import/ export and/or trade compliance
  • 5 years' minimum experience in Logistics and Supply Chain


Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • New system and/or operation implementation experience.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and work closely with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, Warehouse Operations, and US Customs
  • Expertise with product classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, including sets and kits. Ability to interpret and apply GRI(s) correctly.
  • Experience determining and managing Partner Government Agency (PGA) and AD/CVD requirements
