Logistics Carrier Management (Em6587)

Samsung SDS plays a leading role in the global logistics market with unique logistics services. With its innovative IT technology, SDS developed the integrated logistics solution called “Cello” in 2010, started its logistics business in 2012 and expanded its logistics business with Business Process Outsourcing.
The Logistics Carrier Management will handle various aspects of carrier management including sourcing, rates, quotes, analysis, negotiation, and bids according to company SOP.

Responsibilities

• Proactively work with carriers to prevent and resolve issues
• Participate in yearly bid for carrier set-up and prepare for peak season
• Support Ad hoc innovations and SAMEX outbound operation
• Manage transportation rates, compare and analyze quotes, negotiate, set up system, and get approvals from management
• Collaborate with other teams such as Container Yard Management, Transportation Management, and Settlement Management to achieve the goal set by the company
• Source rail and OTR capacities depending on projections
• Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems
• Produce regular reports and statistics as required by the management

Requirements

• Direct working experience with carriers for dispatching, equipment control and tendering
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred,High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to draft and edit.
• Bilingual in Korean/English preferred
• Decisive and quick problem-solver
• 5+ years of Logistics & Operations working experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
• Willingness to innovate and implement processes while taking care of day to day responsibilities in a fast paced environment
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics planning skills

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $24.00 ~ $25.00/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
