Logistics and Fulfillment Associate

VergeSense is a fast-paced startup looking for an experienced Logistics and Fulfillment Associate. The ideal candidate is a savvy experienced individual with a proven successful track record managing factory-to-fulfillment inbound and outbound logistics. The position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

As a logistics and distribution associate, you'll need to:

• Communicate shipping and receipt status with our Project Managers and Customer Support teams
• Continually improve, measure, and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs, and rising environmental pressures
• Use associated information systems to coordinate, control, and measure the order fulfillment process
• Work with the Supply Chain team for correct inventory levels at the 3PL and various locations WW
• Assist in the allocation and management of inventory according to changing needs
• Assist our Logistics Specialist with large shipments moving from our ODM to the 3PL
• Manage inventory on-site and 3PL partners using cycle count techniques
• Develop and nurture business relationships by gaining new contacts, contracts, and analyzing logistical problems, and producing new solutions
• Use data from NetSuite and 3PL systems to evaluate order fulfillment performance/quality and plan for process improvement
• Understand freight and importation rates
• Use NetSuite and the 3PL WHMS to validate shipments match daily transactions
• Transact inbound/outbound shipments and internal transfers in NetSuite
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and company colleagues for improved cost and performance

Requirements

• Experience working with CM/ODM partners in Asia
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds
• High volume/growth product experience
• Bachelor-level business degree or relevant experience
• Proven track record of implementing cost controls and inventory management techniques
• Experience with UPS CampusShip, UPS Worldship, DHL, etc
• Excellent Microsoft and Google Suite productivity skills, Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, etc
• Demonstrated experience with NetSuite or similar ERP software
• Certified in shipments of dangerous goods
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Hardware NPI experience
• Occasional shipment and return of products, parts, and ancillary equipment to/from our offices worldwide
• Excellent communication skills written and oral
