Localization & Social Media Intern

Tapas Entertainment is seeking a talented and motivated Localization & Social Media Intern to join our team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in localization, social media marketing, and content creation. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our webcomic series meet our guidelines through reviewing, editing, and organizing documents. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute short-form content, assist with project coordination, and collaborate across teams. Additionally, you'll support our social media marketing efforts, amplifying our content and engaging with our audience.

Our ideal candidate is an avid reader of Tapas, possesses strong organization and communication skills, and has a genuine passion for sharing our content with readers. This is a 6-month paid internship requiring approximately 30 hours per week and follows a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. You’ll receive a 360 degree view of localization and get hands-on experience with social media marketing, receiving guidance from veterans in the field and 1:1 mentorship from the Sr. Manager leading the team. Responsibilities:

• Monitor and participate in giveaways, contests, and other engaging events on social media platforms
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely delivery of social media assets for new campaigns
• Read webcomic series and add keyword tags based on story tropes, themes, and world settings. Contribute to short-form brief and blurb writing to enhance content engagement
• Work closely with our Localization Brand Safety team to review webcomic series, ensuring they meet our content guidelines and applying advisories as necessary
• Assist in tracking, measuring, and reporting on campaign performance and social media channel growth on a regular basis
• Make recommendations for optimizations to increase social media following and overall engagement
• Learn how to monitor and manage our social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
• Maintain a cohesive brand voice across all digital channels and ensure effective messaging
• Gain hands-on experience in editing and organizing documents, including updating guides, proofreading changes, and helping with presentation slides
• Collaborate with the team to create organic posts and brand campaigns that amplify our content and increase brand awareness
• Assist in uploading series to our Content Management System (CMS) for publishing and distribution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field; recent graduate or graduating senior preferred
• Bilingual in Korean preferred
• Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, Monday.com, Basecamp preferred
• Understanding of digital and content marketing
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with Photoshop and Dropbox preferred
• Pop culture-savvy and stays connected to the latest trends and memes
• Passion for webcomics is a must, particularly Korean and Chinese webcomics
