Position Highlights
The Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies invites applicants for a part-time, non-benefits eligible Limited Term Adjunct Assistant Professor of Practice position in the Counseling program. We seek candidates to teach courses designed and designated within the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies. Courses determined by program and need. Candidates working anywhere in the U.S. may be considered for a remote assignment.
A limited number of openings are available each semester contingent upon student enrollment and funding. The incumbents will teach SERP courses during the Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 semesters.
NOTE: The teaching schedule will be dependent upon class assignment; assignment may be online, classroom-based, hybrid depending on need.
The Counseling Program consists of a Master’s Degree in Counseling with specializations in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling and a Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. All of the programs are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
The program is fully committed to playing a key role in addressing the needs of school districts and rehabilitation and mental health programs in the surrounding community, as well as impacting the lives of students and persons with rehabilitation and mental health needs on a national and global level.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare syllabus.
  • Attend program meetings as needed.
  • Teach courses designated by program.
  • Develop and grade benchmark assignments.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain office hours.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching SERP Courses.
