Dr. Vittorio Sebastiano's lab in the Reproductive and Stem Cell Biology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University currently has multiple outstanding long-term job opportunities for full-time researchers, Postdoctoral fellows or lab manager. Dr. Sebastiano’s lab is investigating various paradigms of nuclear programming and reprogramming with a particular emphasis on the resetting of the epigenetic program of youth in aged human cells. Our research has very important clinical implications in aging, aging-associated diseases, reproductive biology and regenerative medicine. We use human samples collected from patients, mouse models, and organoid cultures. Our group collaborates with multiple departments at Stanford.

The LSRP 2 will help in our mission to understand how reprogramming affects cellular age and cellular identity. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research as part of a dynamic team. The LSRP 2 will contribute to all aspects of ongoing research projects including collecting samples, conducting experiments, reviewing literature, preparing interpretation and summaries of results, participating in conferences, and lab management duties. Specific responsibilities include: Human and/or mouse sample collection, organoid culture, bacterial co-culture, gene editing, sequencing library preparation, DNA and RNA extraction and quantification, Quantitative PCR, Immunohistochemistry, cell imaging, other cellular and molecular biology techniques. Some mouse experiments may be conducted such as xenograft.
