About the position\ The incumbent willaccomplish a variety of routine library work including manual, clerical, and messenger duties.The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, customer service focused andwill have one or more years of experience in volunteering with a Library.Part-time Library Pages work an average of 19 hours per week and are assigned to varied work shifts, including nights and Saturdays.\ \ This recruitment will be used to fill vacancies through the CaliforniansForAll Youth Workforce Development Program (CA4ALL). This program is intended to increase youth employment, andhelp address urgent challenges in their communities, while simultaneously learning key skillsto develop youth interest in and experience towards a career. The experience and skills gained through this program will help these individuals develop into potential long-term public employees.\ \ Distinguishing Characteristics:\ The Library Page is a part-time position in the Library Department. This position is utilized in several library divisions and normally works under the supervision of a senior-level full-time employee.\ \ The listed hours of San Bernardino Public Libraries are:\ Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.\ Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.\ Closed Friday and Sunday.

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrate the ability to follow oral and written job-related instructions.Must be 16 years of age or older.
